Coach Lozano joins the Mount Mercy Mustang football team as the Recruiting Coordinator & Linebackers Coach. He comes to MMU with a strong background in collegiate coaching and player development. Over the past two seasons, he served at Westminster College as the defensive line coach, linebackers coach, and recruiting and retention specialist. Before Westminster College, Coach Lozano spent 2 seasons at Iowa Wesleyan where he was instrumental in developing a linebacker core that finished at the top of the NAIA in total tackles, and tackle for loss. Throughout his coaching career at both Westminster College and Iowa Wesleyan, Coach Lozano has been instrumental in developing several standout athletes, including an NAIA All American, a Cliff Harris Award Finalist, and 5 All Conference selections.

A Sacramento, California native, Coach Lozano is also a proud father to his seven-year-old son, Raul Lozano IV.
