Bartley named to second-team all-Heart

OLATHE, Kan. - Ryan Bartley followed-up his 2021-22 Freshman of the Year honors with an impressive sophomore season, earning his second all-Heart accolade. Earlier today the Heart of America announced their all-conference awards. Bartley was named to the second team as voted on by league coaches. 

Bartley played in all 27 games for the Mustangs and averaged 20.0 points per game, which is 23rd in the NAIA and tops in the Heart. His 540 points scored are 19th most in a single season at Mount Mercy as well. Bartley shot the ball at an impressive 49.0 percent clip (205-418) from the field, 45 of which came from behind the arc. He also made the most free throws, 85, shooting it at 77.3 percent from the stripe. Bartley averaged 33.4 minutes per game and was the leading scorer for Mount Mercy in 22 of their 27 games. On the defensive end, Bartley also paced Mount Mercy as the only player with over 100 rebounds. He finished with 127 this year, 23 offensive, 104 defensive. His 4.7 rebounds per game were a team best.
