CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — The Mount Mercy men's and women's bowling teams each topped qualifying and a total of five Mustangs made all-tournament teams at the Kohawk Invitational over the weekend at May City Lanes and Cedar Rapids Bowling Center.

The Mount Mercy women took the top spot in qualifying by a margin of nearly 400 pins. The Mustangs finished with a total pinfall of 8,401. William Penn was next (8,021), then Baker (7,967) and Judson (7,894). It was third-seeded Baker that made it through match play and won the bracket with a win over top-seeded Mount Mercy in the finals.

Judson was third (8,218) and Baker fourth (7,864). The fourth-seeded Wildcats knocked top-seeded Mount Mercy out of match play before falling to St. Ambrose in the finals.

Individually, Mount Mercy's Megan Kolberg and Brynna Madison took the top two spots on the women's all-tournament team. Three Mustangs landed on the all-tournament team for the men, including Brandon Bohn (first place), Brett Lloyd (second), and Kyle Rosenberg (fourth).

The Mustangs are back on the lanes this weekend at the Cedar Valley Invitational in Waterloo.
