Mustangs Finish Second at the Verhille Invite

IOWA CITY, Iowa - The Mustang men's golf team wrapped up the Verhille Invite on a windy day in Iowa City, taking second place in the tournament by just two shots, ending at 24 over par as a team over the two rounds.

Theo Baker ended his tournament in a tie for second place at three over par. Baker woud record three birdies on his round, including two on the back nine to shoot a one under par back nine score, and even par overall in his second round.

Dominic McCain and Ziwen Zhong each carded tournament scores of six over par, good for a tie for seventh. Both golfers would card a birdie on their final rounds. Frederick Walker would end at nine over, good for a tie for 14th. Walker carded three birdies in a four hole stretch on the front nine during his final round.

The Mustangs will be back in action at the Sagamore Shootout on Monday in Noblesville, Indiana.
