Mustangs Finish Third on First Day of Pioneer Prairie Classic
ANDOVER, Kan. - Following a second straight tournament win, the Mustang men's golf program was back in action, competing at the Pioneer Prairie Classic in Andover.
Gannon Hall took home the top spot on the team, finishing at even par. In round two, Hall carded five birdies and three bogeys to shoot an impressive two-under par. Ziwen Zhong was right behind Hall at two-over, as both Zhong and Hall would finish in the top-10. Following a six-over first round, Zhong fired off a bogey-free round to go along with four birdies, ending his day at two-over.
Junn Yong was the third Mustang in at three-over, good for 13th. Yong would fire off a first round score of one-under before shooting four-over in his second round. The final scoring card was from Frank Haege, shooting a nine-over par. Haege would improve his first round score in the second round by seven shots.
The Mustangs will continue the Pioneer Prairie Classic on Tuesday in Andover.
