Baker Earns NAIA Third Team All-American
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The NAIA national office has released this year's men's golf All-Americans, and Theo Baker earned third team honors.
The England native sophomore was an integral part of Mount Mercy's successes on the course this season, as Baker would average a stroke total of 72.6 over 29 rounds on the course. Baker would finish in the top three on three separate occasions, as he would win each event he finished inside the top three. His three wins came at the Mustang Fall Championship in Cedar Rapids, the NAIA National Preview at TPC Deere Run, and the Verhille Invitational. Two of his three wins on the season came in tournaments in which the Mustangs hosted.
Baker finished five tournaments under par, as two of his three wins were marked by scores of six-under, which were his lowest tournaments of the year. Baker would start the fall season off with three consecutive tournaments under par, adding a two-under round at the Mid-South back in September.
