Mustangs Finish Sixth at Rohrman Invite

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Mount Mercy men's golf earned a sixth-place team finish at the Rohrman Invitational, hosted Sept. 8–9 at Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex. The Mustangs carded rounds of 306, 311 and 310 for a 927 total.

Marian (Ind.) captured the team title with an 883, followed by Campbellsville (906), Cumberlands (907) and Indiana Wesleyan's B team (911) in the top four. Indiana Wesleyan's main squad placed fifth at 918, with Mount Mercy seven shots back in sixth.

Individually, Wil Sigwarth led the Mustangs, finishing tied for 16th at 231 (76-78-77). Ziwen Zhong followed closely, tying for 20th as well at 232 (73-82-77). Lincoln Beckett tied for 33rd at 237 (77-74-86), while Gannon Hall tied for 36th with a 239 (78-81-80). Rounding out Mount Mercy's lineup, Frederick Walker placed 49th with a 246 (90-81-75).

The top of the individual leaderboard was paced by Marian's Weston Ogden, who won medalist honors at 211. He was trailed by Indiana Wesleyan's Sam Dykema (212) and Marian's Lane Zedrick (216).

The Mustangs will next compete at the NAIA National Preview, taking place at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois starting on Monday, September 22.
