ATCHISON, Kan. -- The Mount Mercy men's soccer team managed a scoreless tie at Benedictine on Saturday as they continue to fight for a home playoff game in the Heart of America Athletic Conference tournament.
Alejandro Cuende recorded another clean sheet against the Ravens (8-3-4, 4-2-3 Heart), stopping both shots they put on frame at Legacy Field. The Mustangs (8-2-4, 5-2-2 Heart), who out-shot Benedictine 8-2, saw Raven goalkeeper Noah Reuscher do the same.
Mount Mercy sits in third place in the Heart with two regular season matches remaining. Both will be at Hadzic Field. The Mustangs host Clarke on Tuesday at 5:00 pm and then Baker on Saturday at 3:30 pm. Senior Day festivities will also be held on Saturday between the men's and women's contests.
