Mustangs Relay Squad Kicks Off Nationals with Strong Showing

MARIAN, Ind. - Mount Mercy's men's outdoor track and field team opened competition at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships with a strong showing in the 4x100-meter relay.

The Mustang quartet of Keegan Thompson, Ceondae Adams, Baylor Speidel, and Breon Wade placed 15th in the preliminary round, clocking a time of 40.99 seconds.

Day two of the national meet will feature Adams in the 110-meter hurdles at approximately 2:15 p.m. The men's 4x400-meter relay team — Thompson, Adams, Nate Keiper, and Noah Valenzuela — is set to run at 8:45 p.m.
