AT MOUNT MERCY: Cortez is in his fourth season with the Mustang track program.
PERSONAL BESTS: Cortez's best mile time came at the 2026 Cyclone Open, running a 4:20.33 mile. He finished 10th at the 2025 Heart Indoor Championships, running the 3k in a time of 8:59.37.
