Mustangs Finish 12th at the Blazing Tiger Classic
ASHLAND, Neb. | Mount Mercy's Men's Cross Country team finishes 12th with 348 points at the Blazing Tiger Classic.
Brady Cortez led the way for the Mustangs, finishing 51st in the race with a time of 25:46.8. Ryan Clancy was the next Mustang to cross the finish line, finishing 55th with a time of 25:50.7. The remaining three Mustangs finished out the top five runners were Ryan Mitchell (79) at 26:14.4, Lukas Lamparek (101) at 26:29.1, and Dylan Bledsoe (123) with a time of 26:43.5.
The fourth-ranked St. Mary (Kan.) won the race with a total of 38 points, followed by the third-ranked College of Idaho in second place with a score of 44 points. To close out the top five teams are the 11th-ranked Dordt (146), 15th-ranked Doane (172), and Columbia (Mo.) (209).
The Mustangs will be back on the course for the Heart of America Cross Country Championships on Saturday, November 9th, located at Seminole Valley Park in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The race is set to start at 11:45 AM.
