Women's bowling is runner-up at National Collegiate Team Match Games

FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill. -- After finishing day one in third place, the Mount Mercy women's bowling team moved up a spot to finish runner-up at the National Collegiate Team Match Games over the holiday weekend.

The only squad to out-bowl the Mustangs was McKendree with 10,366 total pins. Over the course of six team games and 20 Baker games, Mount Mercy finished with a total pinfall of 9,975. Newman was third at 9,800, followed by St. Ambrose (9,786) and Lawrence Tech (9,534).

In their final appearance of the calendar year, Mount Mercy travels to Addison, Ill., for the Warhawk Open on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 4-5.
