Women's Bowling Ends Season in USBC ITC Title Match

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The Mount Mercy women's bowling team enjoyed plenty of success this past week, earning a spot in the USBC ITC Finals, narrowly falling to Jacksonville State.

The Mustangs would start the tournament by taking down Wisconsin-Whitewater 4-2 in the opening match, before beating Newman in five games to advance further in the tournament. In round five, the Mustangs matched up against Maryville for the first time, beating the team in six games. It was then on to the national semifinals, and a rematch against Maryville after they advanced in the elimination bracket.

In the semis, the Mustangs swept Maryville in four games, setting up a match with NCAA champion Jacksonville State. The Mustangs would fall to the Gamecocks, ending the year as national runners up.

On the individual side, two-time Heart of America Bowler of the Week Nada Abdul Jalil entered ISC play as the 13-seed after qualifying. Abdul Jalil bested Piper Chalmers by 21 pins to advance to the next round. She was then matched up with four-seed Kaylee Beck, falling to Beck to end her individual season.

Following a remarkable season, the Mustangs will look ahead to the 2025-26 campaign.
