Mustangs Enjoy Successful Weekend in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The Mustang women's bowling team returned to the lanes last week, enjoying a successful weekend in Las Vegas competing at the Glenn Carlson Invitational and the Collegiate Shootout.

In the Glenn Carlson Invitational, the Mustangs would end qualifying in sixth place with a pinfall of 7525, missing out on the top five by just 10 pins. McKenzie Mattice would lead the Mustangs with a 26th place finish, ending with a total pin count of 1531 over the course of eight games, bowling a high of 245 in game four.

At the Collegiate Shootout, the Mustangs would end day one in sixth place with 4577 pins, missing the top five by just 50 pins. Nada Abdul Jalil would lead the Mustangs with a 14th place finish with a total pin count of 982, bowling a high of 209 in her fourth game. On day two, the Mustangs would fall in the standings after qualifying, dropping to 12th place and missing the top eight by 36 pins.

The Mustangs will return to the lanes after the holiday break, taking on the BPA Kegel Midwest Collegiate Classic on January 17.
