Mustangs Split with SCAD Savannah; Sets Up Baker Best of Seven to Advance to NAIA Title
LANSING, Mich. - The Mustang women's bowling team split the matchups with fourth seeded SCAD Savannah, setting up a best of seven series to advance to the title match.
The Mustangs sent the Bees of SCAD to the losers side of the blue bracket with a 2-0 win in the first matchup of the morning. The Bees would then take on fifth seeded Spring Arbor, sending SAU home and setting up a rematch with the Mustangs. Mount Mercy would be up 3-2 in baker games, needing only one more win to advance to the NAIA title, but the Bees would extend their stay in Michigan by another day, winning the final two games and sending the two teams to a winner-take-all best of seven Baker game series, with the winner matching up against second seeded Pikeville for the NAIA national championship.
The Mustangs and Bees will face off once again tomorrow, as the best of seven will get underway at 8:30 a.m. ET / 7:30 a.m. CT.
