CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Mustang women's lacrosse program fell to sixth ranked Missouri Baptist in the season opener, 26-1.
The Spartans got the scoring started early on, tallying eight goals in the first 15 minutes of play. They would tack on another eight in the second quarter, ending the half up by 16. In her first game in a Mustang uniform, Princess Tacla scored for the Mustangs, tallying her first goal of the season off a pass from Mollie Lyon.
The Spartans would then tack on 10 unanswered goals to cruise to a season opening win. The Mustangs will look to rebound as they host Ottawa in a Heart matchup, taking place on March 12 in Cedar Rapids.
