Matsumaru garners postseason award
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Mount Mercy junior midfielder Ayaka Matsumaru was named third-team all-Heart of America Athletic Conference by a vote of league coaches.

Central Methodist claimed nearly every major award after winning the regular season title. The Eagles' Sandra Jakobsen was the Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year, Laura Riesenbeck was tabbed Defensive Player of the Year, and Marcella Helena was Freshman of the Year. Melissa Siegel of Missouri Valley earned the Newcomer of the Year award while Tyler Tomlinson and the Culver-Stockton staff was awarded Coaching Staff of the Year.
