Mustangs Open the Weekend at the Cyclone Open
AMES, Iowa - The Mustangs opened the weekend on the track, competing at the Cyclone Open in Ames on Friday.
Brooklyn Johnson got her day started in the 400 meter final, placing 15th with a time of 1:03.57. Johnson would then place 10th in the long jump with a measurement of 5.09 meters, which came on her first jump of the day.
Fellow teammates Corine Gadient and Catie Reittinger would compete in the mile, finishing 16th and 20th respectively with times of 5:26.51 and 5:35.88. The meet would see limited Mustangs compete, as the team gears up for the Hilltop Invite taking place Saturday in Mount Vernon, hosted by Cornell College.
