CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- The Mount Mercy women's volleyball team dropped a pair of four-set matches in Heart of America Athletic Conference action this weekend. Missouri Valley clipped the Mustangs on Friday, 25-20, 25-22, 14-25, 25-22 before Central Methodist defeated Mount Mercy a day later, 25-15, 25-14, 25-27, 25-10.
Cassidy Boche hit .321 with 13 kills against the Vikings (7-12, 2-3 Heart). Maggie Peters added nine kills, Mackenzie Murphy and Kendall McNaull eight. Defensively, Peters tallied four blocks, Murphy recorded 12 digs, and Rylie Mussman finished with nine. Hailey Hested totaled 44 assists.
It was Boche leading the way again as the Mustangs battled the 12th-ranked Eagles on Saturday. She had 11 kills to go along with 13 digs and a pair of blocks. Peters drilled nine kills, McNaull produced six kills and five blocks. Mussman had a team-best 19 digs and Hested 28 assists.
Mount Mercy (7-8, 3-3 Heart) looks to snap a three-match losing streak on Tuesday when they travel to Des Moines for a Heart matchup with 24th-ranked Grand View (8-9, 4-1 Heart) at 7:00 pm.
