DES MOINES, Iowa -- The Mount Mercy women's volleyball team was unable to snap a three-match losing streak on Tuesday, falling in three sets to Heart of America Athletic Conference foe and 24th-ranked Grand View, 25-19, 25-14, 25-17.
The Mustangs (7-9, 3-4 Heart) won their first three league matches but have dropped four in a row since then. All four have been on the road, where Mount Mercy is 1-6 on the season. The Mustangs -- who are unbeaten at home -- are back at Hennessey Recreation Center this weekend to host Culver-Stockton (6-10, 2-3 Heart) on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
Maggie Peters hit .278 with eight kills and added two blocks at Grand View. Laila Sain and Cassidy Boche tallied seven kills each. Hailey Hested finished with 24 assists, Rylie Mussman recorded a team-best 13 digs, and Olivia Makinen also had two blocks.
