OLATHE, Kan | The Mustangs fall in a conference matchup against the MidAmerica Nazarene Pioneers 3-1 after taking an early 1-0 lead to start the match.
The Mustangs started the match on top as they took set one 25-16 after having an outstanding 10-1 lead. The tides turned in favor of the Pioneers as they took the next three sets 25-11, 25-8, and 25-22 to win the match 3-1 over the Mustangs.
Hallie Bedier and Sam Schrage were the leading attackers for the Mustangs, as they both recorded nine kills and had at least a .280 hitting percentage. Ellie Gerdes and Jenna Brown recorded seven kills each, with Hailey Hested tacking on 36 assists in the match.
The Pioneers were led by Alyssa Reichard after she collected 17 kills and had a .405 hitting percentage to help seal their win.
The Mustangs will be back in action on Saturday, September 21st, as they travel to Baldwin City, Kan., to face off against the Wildcats of Baker University, with first serve at 10:00 AM CDT.
