Women's Cross Country Finishes Third at Larry Young Invite

COLUMBIA, Mo | The Mount Mercy Women's Cross Country team finishes 3rd overall in the Larry Young Invite at the Gans Creek Cross Country in Columbia, Mo. 

Abby Knepper led the Mustangs at 19:17.269 and placed 10th overall in the women's 5k race. Kalin Rotzoll followed Knepper with 19:37.237, finishing 15th overall, with teammate Kayla Overton close behind as she finished 20th overall with a 19:59.214. Closing out the top five for the Mustangs is Ruth Jennings (29) running 20:25.676, and Emma Althoff (30) with a time of 20:26.548. 

The third-ranked Master's team won the meet with a score of 23 points, followed by Huntington (93), Mount Mercy (100), Campbellsville (144), and William Woods (157) for the top five teams. 

The Mustangs are back on the course on Saturday, October 5th, for the Seminole Valley Stampede at Seminole Valley Park in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with a start time at 9:30 AM CDT.
