19th-Ranked Mustangs Take Seventh at the Blazing Tiger Classic

ASHLAND, Neb. | The 19th-ranked Mustang Women's Cross Country team finished seventh at the Blazing Tiger Classic with a team total of 271 points.

Abby Knepper was the first Mustang to cross the finish line, finishing 16th overall at a time of 22:33.408. After Knepper was Kalin Rotzoll, finishing 38th at 23:04.534. Closing out the top five for the Mustangs was Kendall Orozco (77) at 23:56.643, Emma Althoff (82) at 24:04.676, and Ruth Jennings (85) at 24:07.317. 

The third-ranked St. Mary (Kan.) won the race with a team total of 30 points. Second place went to the fifth-ranked College of Idaho, finishing with 66 points. The remaining top five teams of the competition were seventh-ranked Dordt (100), 17th-ranked Kansas Wesleyan (153), and 15th-ranked Lewis-Clark State College (206). 

The Mustangs will be back on the course for the Heart of America Cross Country Championships on Saturday, November 9th, located at Seminole Valley Park in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The race is set to start at 11:00 AM.
